Don’t miss Dare to Dream section at Teenfest

KUALA LUMPUR: Visitors to the three-day Teenfest festival which begins tomorrow should stop by the “Dare to Dream – The MCA Education and Career Exhibition Zone”.

MCA Young Professionals Bureau chairman Datuk Chua Tee Yong said “Dare to Dream” would feature stage performances, seminars and forums, quizzes, lucky draws and other activities.

“Youths can learn a lot about educational opportunities, career prospects, as well as chances to engage in community service.

“They can also improve their soft skills, such as public speaking,” said Chua who will open the festival.

He said many institutions, including MCA Youth, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and The Star’s MyStar Job would also be taking part.

He added that there would be other activities like makeovers, blood pressure tests and body mass index (BMI) checks as well as a voter registration counter.

Other highlights include a talk on “People Born in the 1970s and 1990s Share their Stories on Love and Romance”, which will be held at 7pm tomorrow.

MCA Youth Legal Bureau chief Wong Nai Chee will give a talk titled “You Are the Apple of My Eye”, which is held as part of the KahWin 4.0 youth forum on Sunday at 6pm.

Teenfest, a festival celebrating youth, will be held at the Mid Valley Exhibition Hall from tomorrow until Sunday.

The opening hours are from 11am to 9pm. Admission is free.
