Pakatan’s shadow cabinet consists of people who have left or have passed away

The so-called shadow cabinet of Pakatan Rakyat appears to be a ridiculous effort by the leadership of the three opposition parties as it consists of members who have resigned or have passed away. This not only makes it awkward for some people, but it also displays the deception of Pakatan Rakyat.

Perak DAP Chairman Ngeh Koo Ham had stressed that although the shadow cabinet has been in existence for a while it has not been made public, whereas Bukit Bintang MP Fong Kui Lan had said that each party had a representative for each post in the shadow cabinet. This shows contradiction and the lack of internal consensus.

It was reported in Sin Chew Daily yesterday that Pakatan leaders had seen it fit and proper to appoint their own shadow ministers and that the right people will be elected from each party.

However, listed among the shadow cabinets are members who are no longer in Pakatan Rakyat such as Tan Tee Beng, Wee Choo Keong, Zulkifli Noordin, as well as the late Dr Lo’ Lo’ Ghazali. Thus, what is the actual shadow cabinet? Is it simply a means to deceive the people or meant to challenge the Prime Minister? Or is there just no efficiency and a lack of credibility among them?

I urge Pakatan Rakyat to not contradict each other, and that the shadow cabinet should have been decided carefully on and made public and explained to the people, or if the leaders do not see the need for a shadow cabinet, then the leaders should keep quiet and not leave the situation hanging with a lot of unanswered questions.

How are they going to evaluate the best candidate? What sort of KPIs will be used and how to measure up to that KPI?

In my opinion regarding Pakatan’s shadow cabinet list, it shows that Pakatan has failed to reach a consensus, including their candidate for Prime Minister. Thus it can be predicted that should Pakatan take over the federal government, there will be an internal struggle among themselves to select a head.

Is this the political line up that people are looking for? Should we support this kind of line up when there is no plans and no consensus on it?
